It looks like that’s the case, as I got passed over for a 7th SC twice this week while they awarded SCs to junior people with less. I’ll file a pay inquiry just in case, but that sucks that they can carpet bomb us to 6 and then just ignore a YS when it gets too expensive for them.

Something to look at in the next contract.

The way management has been managing and treating us lately really makes me believe that the vast majority of us wouldn't lift an extra finger to help the company out at all.
Respond in kind every time. If there is any discretion always act in your interest, the company does. To be honest the company creates discretion where this is none. Managers are actively trying to pay you less and require more work and less QOL than the PWA provides. Never lose sight of thier motivations and actions.

SC to VAS ratio should be like 3:1 - i.e. every three short calls they issue should require a VAS period to be proffered...seems like that's what they're really after anyway.

I'd love to have the option to escalate to VAS after being assigned SC without needing approval from CS. Get the one hour whether you get used or not or opt for VAS for three. I bet you this would slow down their SC abuse or at least make it more tolerable.

So, today is the 6th, but scheds assigned short calls for the 8th (as well as 7th). And not just the 2359 ones. Didn’t think that was legit. Anyone know actual answer? Atl 73N A.

Two days out is ok if those pilots had First In Line Yellow Slips in for short call. If they did it to pilots that didn’t YS SC then that’s not ok.

They CAN award it two days but they don’t have to.
