You cannot. Reserves are for covering their own base trips. However Scheduling can build “reserve only” trips that cover another bases trip but I think that’s not super common. Either way the trip will still be “in” your base so you can YS it if able.

There's a PDF on Deltanet (Search for "Pilot Parking Guide", second choice) for instructions at all the available airports.

you can choose parking at any pilot or FA domicile in lieu of your assigned base. (FLL is a FA base)
before you surrender your NY parking for FLL, while on reserve or jr line holder I would look into the northeast parking program. Not exactly sure how it works but you can get reimbursed up to (I think $200/month) for transportation to/from trips out of LGA and EWR if you give up your company paid parking. I’m not too sure on the details but I would look into it.

Quick question regarding being "full" on reserve.
I never tried this strategy but thinking of picking up a bunch of white slips and yellow slips to get up to 72 hours/ ALV to get to being Full and not having to have to fly over Christmas and New Years. Is there any gotchas I should be made aware of before doing this? Thanks in advance
Am planning to calling the union about this but would like your guys' take on it first

Remember that a reserve cannot fly on any day with a PD on it. So don't drop any days you want to YS over.
I never quite figured out the coverage sequence for YS on an X day, but it sure seemed as though everytime I did so I got exactly what I asked for. Almost as if they filled my request before people actually on res.
Good luck

If you can PD any of your on call days that will lower your guar, thus making it easier to hit "full.".

You can drop less than the "min days on" for NB, but not WBs (including the 7ER). So in your scenario, as long as you're not on the 7ER or bigger, and you have plenty of coverage, then yes you could drop day 2.

if anything I'd say you could drop say 1 or 3. I doubt theyd let you drop day in the middle and have two single days of reserve.

You 100% can do it...I do it often. It has nothing to do with "let," it's in the contract (PWA 23.I.9). The only consideration is if there is reserve coverage for NB. For WB you can't drop to be below "min separation," which is generally 4 days for WB.
