Yet another case of CS making crap up. File a Dart, the Scheds Committee needs to know.

There is a dot that appears next to the SC time in the CALL column on Icrew. Is that what you're asking?

I deleted MiCrew from my phone about 6 months ago and now only use it on my work iPad while at work. It makes the following things easier (1) calling CS to inquire about a scheduling issue, and (2) disconnecting while away from work.

I had a 30-hour rest attached to a rotation assignment marked acknowledged by a scheduler after they called and left a voicemail for only the rotation. I was never notified of the rest and they eventually pulled the rotation. Protect yourself.

I've considered doing NC and setting an alarm, but if I check at 0600, I'm not making a 0800 JFK, LGA would be sketchy and EWR is no problem.

When I was commuting, whenever I invoked NC, they wanted to know what airport/flight I was coming in on. I'd usually give them my backup flight (would pick a backup flight based on 2 hour NC, but would likely be in earlier often at another airport)

I've had them freak out over my 3-4 hour to gate estimate for JFK when they call during rush hour to report ASAP to JFK (furthest airport from me). I'm legit under 2 hours call to gate for EWR, even if it's rush hour but JFK can be 2-2.5 hours from my house to the employee lot then another 15-30 minutes to TSA (bus wait and bus drive)

For those of you not familiar with NYC, it can be all of 2 hours just airport to airport, sometimes more if it's the wrong weather/time of day.

I've had my house in Boonton, NJ to JFK take anywhere from 55 minutes to 3 hours. Normally, I leave the house 2 hours before report and I have a 30 minute buffer, but if it's rush hour (0600-0900 and 1500-1800) I usually leave 2+30 to 3+00 before report.
Check Tennis' post a few pages back, post #3436.

TLDR: Invoke NC when SC is assigned, but check your schedule at a time when you could make any report at the 2 hour post-SC mark. If you have a trip, head out. If not, call scheduling and revert to contactable before SC begins.

Apologies for the dumb question, but the PWA hurts my brain when I’m trying to read it and I figure someone has experience and knows the question:

If you do a four day green slip that starts with the first day being an on-call day and the other three being an x day, but the callout is greater than 18 hours, do you get green slip pay for the on-call day?

I know you only get block when you go from x day to on-call day, I just don’t understand the rules when the scenario is flipped, but it’s greater than 18 hour call out. I don’t have a computer nor my efb atm. Tyia

A reserve GS "less than 18 hours to report" actually has nothing to do with the time between the ARCOS callout and the rotation report time. It simply means is it a rotation that you otherwise couldn't be assigned as a standard reserve assignment. For example, coming off a vacation day scheduling cannot assign you anything that reports before 1800. 2 days prior at 0900 when they run coverage, they can award you a GS "less than 18 hours to report" that reports at 1759. So over 48 hours prior to report you can be awarded a GS "with less than 18 hours to report". This confuses many people.

Having said all that, since this was a multi-day rotation that started on your last LC day you were not eligible to be assigned the rotation as a standard reserve assignment. Scheduling should code this as F on the daily trip coverage report (not G). This code will correctly apply the first duty period's pay above reserve guarantee. The net result in this instance is you get the full rotation value above guarantee (day 1 F code and days 2-4 on X days) plus either 2 PB days and a PR (if the rotation released before 1500) or 3 PB days and a PR (if the rotation released after 1500).

I don't think this is true. There is an example in the SRH where an international pilot is given a GS on an on call day that spans his x day period and ends on an on call day where he is not due any additional pay. He wouldn't be eligible to receive that assignment as a reserve assignment and still due no pay.
