quick update for the folks interested in GS reserve:
LC / X / X / X

got a 4-day GS that reports on the LC day after 1800. I got reserve GS pay for the trip minus the block flown on the LC day.

Circling back. Found it at the bottom of the “printer friendly” iCrew Pay Satatrment for my most recent correction.

Was it for the statement it should have gotten paid on that it was listed, or the statement it was actually paid. I’ve got about 6 hours I’m still waiting on from a few months back. Be great to know how to find it 🙄

That's becuase it's coded wrong. Call scheduling and have them change it from G code to F code and you'll get the full pay.

I don't really see how it would appreciably affect PB days. I guess in theory more reserves would fly premium on LC days, but that frees up whatever GS they would have done on X days to go to other pilots, both REG and RES (which would still get PB days). Plus you'd have to factor in that the company is now paying a RES pilot premium pay AND that RES pilot is now not available for SC/LC assignments on the LC days affected (and for 18 hours after the release of the GS rotation).

I honestly don't know if it would really change total costs to the company that much. Paying reserves single pay with no PB days is cheaper than paying a REG double pay or a RES on X days single pay + PB days, but again they are losing reserve coverage which theoretically could drive more GS opportunities. It's hard to tell right now because almost no one does what we are talking about (GS on X day into LC days or all on LC days) because it is such a crappy deal. lol or people do it once and then realize the error of their ways when they look at their time card.

So you should do the same for any trip that starts on x says and ends on LC days because you couldn't have gotten that trip on those days?

What reference am I citing to justify the change? I cant find anything that backs this up. Thank you for the help.

Edit: Im too dumb to track or have confidence in my position enough to just call and say change the G to an F. If you would be so kind, can you give an example of what words you would say to the scheduler?

No, you are already getting premium for the first day. G or F code would pay you exactly the same in this instance. F code is only for GS rotations that start on a LC day.

I've never had to give a reference before. I've just called and they've fixed it.

Just call and tell them you think it should be F instead of G. They'll know what you're talking about and should just say ok with no questions.
