No. Plugs aren’t going to hold weekends off, even on reserve.

NYC 320A plug this spring.

Nope. You are going to get coverage awards sprinkled in.

Best I can suggest is look at the wide report for your new/desired category and see what the bottom X people in RES get.

I'm about 90% on the 320 in NYC and got "random Tuesday" early in November plus a weekend, plus Wed/Fri/Sat around Thanksgiving, but got Thanksgiving off.
October was coverage awards every Sat/Sun the whole month, and Halloween too.

73N I could be a line holder, or at least avoid coverage awards on RES. Funny as I was too junior to hold 73NA a year ago.

220 I'd have coverage awards all thanksgiving week, but weekends off otherwise.

Depends on the category & the month in question. Has there been coverage on the wide reports in that category (signified by magenta/purple days)? Is it a holiday/summer month?

Weekends can often have coverage at the bottom, but it’s not guaranteed that it will. A manning is generally better than B manning, so…, maybe, but probably not going to avoid coverage.

Thanks. Speaking of these award color codes, is there a legend to these anywhere?

For line, Cyan (light blue) is regular awards, while purple are line coverage awards (aka "Unstacking")

For Reserve, Yellow is reserve awards, while Magenta are reserve coverage awards.

If you submit a YS for a trip you wanna fly on an on call day and a YS to be first in line for SC, does one take priority over the other?

Rotations are assigned first.

Would anyone care to share their experiences living > 2 hours driving distance from base and bidding reserve? I’m around 50% category. On SC, just drive within 2 hours and hang out somewhere? That the technique? Besides that, on LC I’m assuming you’d just hang out at home, pursue hobbies etc. Any big picture considerations I’m missing? Thanks

Speed = Distance/Time

Your home's distance from base/2 hours = how fast you need to drive
