There are some instances where this is a valid thing. F/A's relatives are given enhanced priority to non-rev to graduation, bc they aren't provided positive space as our spouses (I think) are. CPO granted emergency travel also comes to mind. .Parents are eligible for emergency travel as well. Not defending the abusers here, bc it also tends to show itself when people have gotten themselves into a pickle and get desperate to non-rev home when they probably shouldn't have tried in the first place. If curious, you can always submit an inquiry with the pass travel office.

Yup my parents this week just utilized S1A both ways to a grandfathers funeral with CPOs permission. They would have showed up as retiree S1A. Not weird at all.

Whelp, so it begins. June availability for lax 73a is in the crapper. This may be a lucrative summer for folks that enjoy greenslips…….

Good for you, I guess? The company controls upgrades so if you're ****ed you know where to focus your ire. ATL73NB as a comparison is mostly blue for at least the second month in a row. It'll be all black inside an hour after 0700 on the 20th, of course.

I respectfully disagree. I’ve been in my category for almost 4 years now.
I expect the company to staff the category somewhat appropriately. Zero backfills but no reduction in flying……….. I like my quality life over and ending green slips

Green slips are optional and reroutes are lucrative. I’d rather be in short category than way overstaffed.

I made over 27 hours of RRPY in April alone. What's more shocking is my pay was nuts on accurate to the minute and penny. I must have used all my 9 lives in one month!
