All of that is valid.
yea that was unnecessary

Again, how about some intellectual honesty here. To those of you complaining about someone junior getting an IA, you need to take a look around you at the pilots causing this. The more senior pilots are the ones that are farming M7, causing the trip coverage ladder to clog, and causing the company to go to IA. The mid tier pilots are the ones being most harmed. But if you’re upset with the junior pilots getting the IA, your anger or frustration is misplaced. Are the M7 farmers acting within their contractural rights? Sure. Are they acting in good faith? I’d say no.

My argument is that anything you can do by typing away on icrew to get paid more is entirely fair game.

Totally different from calling CS or having side chats with them on Microsoft Teams or whatever.

just me yelling from the bleachers; none of this is relevant to me as a junior well staffed category reserve bidder.

Again, hockeypilot isn’t upset **with** the junior pilots that are getting the IA, he is upset that **that** junior pilots are getting trips rather than senior pilots.

Hating the game, not the player. That’s an important distinction and it’s clear that hockeypilot’s grievances are being misrepresented as hating the player.

(Side-dealers, of any seniority….we can hate those players.)

The entitlement of this sentence is nauseating

Well, he might not be wrong on that, those trips very well could have been his. Wanting seniority to be honored isn't entitlement and his overall point is still valid, the game is jacked. I have a similar feeling about all those short notice trips that I've built my strategy on and have effectively executed for the last few years. I stayed senior on a junior fleet to take advantage this type of flying. Now I watch as they get sent IA that I can't ever seem to get. If it's not awarded to someone junior, I'm getting the call 5-10 minutes AFTER if was already awarded to someone senior.

So we staff scheduling, hire enough pilots, and fix the coverage ladder. Does hockey come back and complain that he's losing [insert random number of dollars] a month because junior reserve guy was assigned what should have been his premium award?

Doubt it. It's not that frustrating when the system is functioning properly.
