Mainline pilots have undercut mainline pilots. See TA 2012 vs CAL scope. You referring to what they have versus what they will have with their new TA? Bet their allowable 70+ seat jets look like what we had prior to this TA, and there pay is lower because of it. |

American is Armenian, without the "c." |

You claimed we would give up more seats this last go-round. The company wanted 86 seats and was shut down. Is there nothing positive in your world?
82 seats, but in reality 79 is the magic number with the slim line seats that are now offered. In reality they just want more large hulls to put two class configs in. 76 works will for them, and they will want more of those until they find a time that leverage is on their side. |

Nobody got the joke.
American is Armenian, without the "c." U.S. Air is "All American Air" without any sense. I got it, but used your post to ask if anyone else has heard the rumor that TAM was leaving Oneworld. No more no less. |

How much pay does someone "earn" by outsourcing their work?
Without scope none of us has a job. That includes you, T. The difference between you and the junior pilots you criticize is that you analyze how much of one can be traded for the other so that your outcome is maximized. Junior pilots have a more holistic approach since anything in the system effects their job security. Then there are a few odd ducks like me who view outsourcing as a moral issue. All people should be treated the same and be given the same opportunity to succeed or fail, based on their merit and the performance of the Company as a whole. IMHO, those who supplement their pay on the backs of others' labor aren't a whole lot different than welfare recipients who take the check simply because they can. I think I'd even add another view point, I see outsourcing as a business issue. Sure you can save a nickle, to keep you from having to spend a dime and you burn a dollar doing it and refuse to account for it. It's simply not wise. You know our operation has its warts, but I'd rather it be our warts we deal with. Delta is mainline just as much as it is Skywest, ASA, Comair (God Bless Boomer), CHQ, Shuttle, GoJet, Compass, Pinnacle, Alaska, Air France 773s in ATL, AF Cargo, KLM, Skyteam, et. al.
