Maybe those JV protections in the new deal were worth something after all.
The company has pretty much just ignored the production balances. And our contract is really gonna hammer them for it. In about three years. Give or take. Maybe. After adjustments and more talks. |

Yeah, poor New York. THey've gone from 900 pilots to 1300 pilots since the merger and added equipment.
You medalled. Go quick, or you'll miss the anthem. |
Never mind, I am being redundant.

Ask them about the great prank with the sex toy in front of female staff members.... Are you having some sort of weird meltdown? Is this some weird inside politics thing, and if so, can you guys do it over on the ALPA forum? |
Slowplay's report was news to me. I've heard their best, Garrison Keillor, and reached the conclusion a sense of humor couldn't survive the winters.

Nu, Thanks for blowing the plot of all those Star Trek films. I don't mind. I loved the red shirted guys in the real Star Trek. I didn't have to remember their names.

Slow, and others, I just see this as different than the AK flying which I'm sorry but I do think is doing more harm than good. I don't buy the whole "we'd only be flying to NRT if it weren't for Alaska" concept.
This is different. We're talking about an airport that is completely closed off to us, in the biggest, richest air market in the world. This gets us in that market big time. Does anyone think or hear the AA pilots complaining about BA/AA? Its keeping them in business. We are talking hundreds of millions in revenue from NYC alone, some of which will come at AAs expense. Bar I totally agree that we're getting the short end on the 3 year JV window. It's past time for our union to do whatever it's going to take to ensure that we get out share of the flying- whether it's on Alaska's routes or Air France or Virgin Atlantic, and if I were them I'd be telling the company that if they want to keep playing ball, we need that issue to be addressed before this gets our support. I've already told my reps as much, and I recommend every one do the same, or at least give your input on the matter. |
