I didn't say my reps don't know I said they weren't approached. I heard the ousted regime was muttering recall before Roberts even took office. Are you really surprised? I guess we'll find out if they are or they aren't - one of those self critiquing, self validating rumors.

Is the bolded opinion or fact?
There are good parts of both administrations. Since both administrations take their orders from the same ALPA President, there is not a great difference who holds those positions. The difference between enthusiastic support and tacit agreement is about the same when you are so paralyzed as to allow another pilot group to come in and do a deal with your management without your objection. We should have expected push back from the Pinnacle cram down. IMHO if this administration is going to survive they must assert their power and differentiate themselves from their predecessors. The Pinnacle situation was the perfect opportunity to assert our MEC's power. Moak and ALPA National went completely off the reservation. There are two schools of thought. The current view is that if we don't address our problems no one else will notice them. If no one realizes there is a problem, then the DPA can't use that issue. In contrast, I think the line pilots would more respect an administration which was willing to fight national when the rights of their pilots' autonomy are violated. Better to be seen enforcing the rules than to be seen as sycophantic. I don't want a recall, but at the end of the day it makes little difference which politicians are in office if we are going to follow the same wrongheaded policy to facilitate outsourcing our jobs. That's my opinion; what's yours? Activist administration that demands national do what we want or constructive engagement with national? |

My check was around $600. That's almost 15% of my dues for last year. I know premerger NW got less but I'll take that money thank you very much.

Mommy Delta's been spending a lot of time with Richard Branson, an Eskimo, a Frenchman, an Italian, a Dutchman, a Mormon and a whole bunch of lationos. We kids sometimes worry about other children from these affairs. Your mom claims to be a Virgin, but if you look at her checking account, she's been pulling tricks. Maybe we should not compare airlines to our mothers. |

I always thought of him as more of a Moaker than the last chairman based on his ALPA forum posts and participation in the bankruptcy and merger as the money man. If there really are regimes voting then they picked a more Moakier chairman. That doesn't make sense in the premise of a Demoakracy controlling everything, because why would they vote in a staunch Moaker?
