My check was around $600. That's almost 15% of my dues for last year. I know premerger NW got less but I'll take that money thank you very much.

I'm sorry, but the line is still busy with the 1999 call. Please hang up, and try again.

Mine was around $50. How many years did you put toward dues to get that huge payout? Maybe we can tell them to hold on to the next refund for, you know, time value of money. We'll reap another HUGE win.
That guy was a member in an MEC that continually stayed under budget (and had 24J to help take stress off the MEC "checking account"). Now ALL the DL pilots have that same MEC structure with a continued desire to operate well under budget. The payout for 2014 excesses (should your reps vote to authorize a refund) will probably average around $250-350. Additionally dues are going down in 2014, and hopefully will be reduced yet again at the next BOD meeting. |
Where is Johnso29 at these days? Don't think I've seen him around here in awhile...

BS. Most voted yes, because though it was not the deal they wanted, it was cash in their pocket.

You think talking to your Reps is a waste of time? Well e-mail em, have everyone email em. Give them hard evidence that the silent and no so silent majority want a better deal the next time one comes around. Change their philosophy, I try to every chance I get. Why? Because if they hear from many of us on many of the issues, they are going to see another side of it. If they get nothing, they assume that everything is A OK.

Tilting at windmills on here feels good, but the Reps probably do not spend a ton of time reading this. On top of that, its 40 of the same posters. To make a real change in the way business is done, you need to be active and present. Stating they will not listen to you and its not worth your time is a cop out. You and others preach that DALPA and ALPA need to put effort in. Well, given the fact that may of the donut crowd do not contribute or provide feedback anymore, there is no counter balance to things. For there to be the change you desire, it can not be one or two pilots running and in most cases losing every year.

This malcontent quadrant of the DAL pilots need to reengage and force the issues in each and every election, and on each and every issue. Until that happens, the mountain is not going to move too far.

LOL! That was well done.
But don't forget, it was Delta back in the day who gave the mother the go ahead to stop using the pill and have tons of 50-seater infants... http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NrOhDsD3yu...0/pimp-fur.jpg Carl |
