I can see now that our work rules are better than they have ever been prior to chapter 11. 3 day trips worth less than 14 hours. We certainly work a lot less days than we ever have in the past 30 years.
And don't get me started on our incredible scope. It's like a fantasy dream. Over 50% of our domestic departures flow by DCI carriers. I bet our ALPA forefathers never dreamed we would come this far. And the alliances!! Giving half our flying to foreign carriers. The widebody promotions are coming so fast it's like winning the Super Bowl and the World Series at the same time.
A select few won the lottery at Delta and now they spend their time at the top telling us how great things are. They are a cancer. They subvert our advancement and our profession.
It is 2014 and ALPA is so pathetic their pilots cannot have internet access to view hazardous weather and their passengers can. ALPA cannot accomplish the simplest of tasks. They are to busy advising regional carriers to make concessions when there is no supply of pilots to hire.
I got mine. So the rest of you can eat dirt.

I use to get schedule change texts. Can't remember if that was from ALPA or Crew Notification on DeltaNet. Anyone know? I didn't change anything but not getting them anymore.
To be clear, I'm not going after ANY pilot that is exercising his/her contractual right. Just trying to express some frustration with being forced to reserve in a category that I had no expectation of reserve. Almost 40 percent of us. Also, lets be clear this wasn't truly optional. I was informed that none of the buy backs were inversely forced but would haves if necessary. Just hoping this doesn't become a more common staffing tool.
Looks like 40% of us B's on are call in jan again. They are setting us all up to be the accumulators for the reroutes for all the DTW and MSP pilots that pass through ATL everyday.
You and I have probably flown together. See you on a short call for a reroute in Jan.

If we APD a rsv day, can you swap that for picking up a rsv day elsewhere in the month? I'd rather not take the pay hit, but have to do what I have to do to get my son's first bday off.

You can try to swap.... But once you APD, it is an immovable day off and you cannot do anything on it (and your APD is gone until your hire anniversary).
