This one's easy...... Prove them wrong. No conjecture, just facts. Cold hard numbers. I'll wait.

Well, common sense would dictate that if the contract was cost neutral to the company, and pilots like shiz are reporting large gains, then cost cuts came from somewhere else in the company. Pilots are happy, of course, but it is the union's job to make sure all pilots receive fair representation. So, someone, somewhere, is taking it on the chin.
My W2 was something on the order of 26% more than 2012. With your theory, you should be able to find an ER captain that worked the same number of days as I and made 26% less than he did in 2012. You are just parroting this "cost neutral" mantra that the DPA hung it's hat on, and have nothing to back it up. But I'll gladly eat crow if you can prove me wrong for the group as a whole. |

I have done the msp-nyc commute. I highly recommend avoiding that. The problem will NYC is the company's line construction is garbage. Early starts and late finishes, non-commutable on both ends. The Flying is pretty good the crews are great. The only downside is the pairing construction I refuse to spend 6 days on planes for a 4 day trip.
Either one is gonna suck for a while, unavoidable fact of life for a commuting FNG. But from what I'm seeing & from talking to folks, MSP-NYC might suck a bit less than MSP-ATL. |

Again, you offer nothing but conjecture. Prove it with a preponderance of evidence. BY your theory, you should be able to easily find 5500 guys that are worse off. I'll wait for your input also.

There is no data I can offer you, because I would be making it up, since the comparison event never happened(the voting down of contract C12K). Also, there are not 5500 pilots who would be worse off, everyone is better off, because everyone received raises. However, it is a law of mathematics, that if you received larger gains than projected, then the costs came from somewhere else. |

They even said that in 2012, it's not anything surprising. |
Ok, a guy on his 3rd GS today in my category. Wow. #3GS making it down to like 10,500, and I saw a guy in the 11000's on GS#2. I'm hacking up mucous, so I can't play, but someone is going to get some nice GSs this weekend!

Nice AE!
No gains out west or even MSP, all East... Hopefully though there will be enough goodness in these positions to FINALLY keep me from sliding backwards another % or two. In the past few AEs, even though they were all openings, the lack of western spots led to dudes senior to me bidding in and pushing me backwards, and I know all the guys from 2000-2001 hiring out west are seeing the same thing. Fingers crossed though that all these Capt and WB spots will finally cause some senior FOs out west to finally move on! And the AE letter also said to expect growth in LAX 73N later in 2014, which would really be great to see. People out west seem to do anything to stay out here, so unless Capt and WB spots open up out west, it looks like we'll continue to backslide or stagnate. Good news is this is a LOT of spots for new guys to fill, which means we should see continued hiring over and above the "official increase" posted of 600total. GREAT! |

The cost neutral mantra came from the earnings call from RA. I have no idea what the DPA is/was selling.
