Good luck to all those flying tomorrow. FINALLY, a 9/11 that I am not taking off from some undefended carribean graft-fest airport on my way to JFK, there to be delayed by a presidential visit...

I can't believe you guys follow other people's seniority and hire date that closely. There's nothing you can do about it. Why stress over it?

This is a pretty good illustration that it takes WIDEBODY spots to get the entire LIST to move up--even though I thought all those SLC 73nB spots looked great, they're basically at the bottom of the list, and no one wanted them (or DTW73, LAX73, etc...). All the guys junior enough to want 73 or 320 or 88 or 717 spots have already got one where they want it, now. More NB FO spots doesn't help anyone currently on the list out, just opens spots for new hires.

I've seen some talk about As and Bs on the various airframes with regards to bids/AEs. What are the differences when it comes to these? i.e. 73nA, 73nB, 717A, 717B, etc? Thanks!

THats a hard pill to swallow. WHen that 2001 N hire got furloughed, some dude started training at All ATPs. That dude finished his ratings, got hired at Comair and then Delta picked him up in 2007/08. Now that 2008 hire is senior to the one that lost his job at the expense of DCI growth and 9/11. Life is not fair sometimes. Oh well. Beers on me for any 2001 hire!

Our seniority integration was done fairly, but there were some who got screwed. Not enough got screwed to make a difference, but hopefully moving forward, the ones that got screwed wont get screwed again. <---Im not one of those..FYI

It is a lot like walking in the door to your home and finding a burglar who also just raped your wife, but a cop is there. You can't do anything correctly but you are violated beyond belief...why stresss on it ,,well if you have to ask then I guess you didn't loose very much.

Equating your perceived seniority difference in a merger to your wife getting raped? Do you write for Tim C by any chance? Really?

Well if you have to use that simile, then I guess you have never known someone who experienced a violent sexual attack.
