Ok. Maybe you are right. I am just going by what was told to me by the scheduling supervisor at the time. He said that it would apply.

Scheduling is often widely inaccurate on the contract. However if a supervisor tells you that pick your trips and have him put them on your line. Not to long ago scheduling tried to rebuild a trip I was supposed to fly and put me back on it. Told him I did not think it was legal. He checked with a supervisor and said I was right and dropped the trip with pay. Turns out after talking with contract admin I was wrong and should have flown the trip. Damn the luck!

PilotWife2,

Are you familiar with angrypilotwife ?

Whoever she is, she is a great writer. Her articles are much more entertaining that the typical flight crew member's kiss and tell book.*

(Buzz excepted, he had something to write about)

Thank you for the intro to the "angrypilotwife". I just read her blog regarding how you can tell you are in a pilot's home. Am surprised she didn't mention the endless supply of hotel soap. Being married to a pilot, I now never have to buy soap again and have more tiny shampoo and conditioner bottles than anyone could possibly need. Also seem to be collecting an odd variety of airline snacks and drinks including canned water from Southwest....Not sparkling water, but just regular plain old water...in a can...

Holiday idea: Bag up all those soaps & shampoos and give them to a homeless shelter. They really appreciate it. :)

Sooo... I got a new iPhone 6 and played with the EFB today. The dichotomy is stunning.

On the plus side--when I bought a 32GB iPhone 5, it cost $299.

Today, more than two years later, Best Buy just gave me a $201 gift card for it. Didn't even need to buy a phone there (but I did). I wonder how they're making those numbers work?

Your 32GB iPhone 5 did not cost $299, more like $800. You paid $299 upfront and the rest was baked into your wireless service payments you were under contract for.

Good point--forgot about that whole "subsidy." Thanks for the reminder. :o

Speaking of jets that belong at mainline, I'm curious to know if there is any scenario with our current work rules where this guy and his regional airline could "code share" with Delta with the new C-Series aircraft?

In C12, I believe DALPA also gave the company a scope loophole for Republic.

Just saw on Deltaweb that the new Airbus order is to replace some 767 300 + 400 aircraft. No idea on the timeline, seems the sands of time are running out for the 767-400.

Anyone know if the 50 new Airbus jets are purely replacements?

Take your 330B days off and multiply them by 0.58 then take your take home pay and multiply it by 1.07, and then back out crash pad/hotel expenses if commuting for an average of 1.9 nights away per trip with an average of 5-7 commutes monthly.

4 stripes though, so, yeah.
