I know I said I was leaving, but...
Just wanted to let you know that the profit sharing amounts can be "back doored" in away. Tomorrow's regular paychecks are on Deltanet and there is an amount under the YTD column already for the profit sharing.

you can see how much your ps is. only our first three checks of the year are up but i noticed that the totals in the check details don't ad up with just the three checks that are available to view. the diff is the ps.

Just learned a nasty lesson about the PWA and greenslips.
Got a call from scheds (voicemail) saying they put a greenslip on my line for tomorrow....10 minutes to respond or they will move on. I went to the computer and acknowledged the award via iCrew and verified that it showed on my line and my time card. Then proceeded to go take a shower/pack etc. Looked at my phone an hour later and saw 3 more voicemails from crew scheduling. Started listening to them and they called to say they had made a mistake and that it shouldn't have been a GS so they had changed it to a whiteslip on my line and I had 10 more minutes to acknowledge the WS. By the time I got the messages they had moved on to the next guy.
So, initially I think to myself, Hey....they owe me something for the fact that I acknowledged an award and then they removed it from my line. Called a friend who knows the PWA pretty well and he directed me to 23.Q.13. which says that Delta can correct errors in GS awards up to 2 hours prior to report without owing the awarded pilot anything. So no GS for me AND I missed the opportunity for a WS of the same trip because I didn't see the need to stay close to my phone since I had already acknowledged a trip for the next day. Nice.
At least I hadn't commuted in for the GS. I hate how the whole "live and learn" thing always seems to cost me $$$

You might be right, but most guys who would fly to the FAR's already get fairly close under the cap system. I don't quite think it would be 5% of our jobs. 70% of the group wouldn't do anything different with no cap. Most of us are worried about a min month in C2015 right now. Of the other 30% I'll bet 90% of them know their way around the cap. That leaves 5% that are too dumb to figure it out that MAY on occasion fly more than what the cap now allows.
The formula is simple. Bid 3-day trips if able, WS to the pickup limit on the first PCS run (preferably a couple 2-days or a 3-day), head over to the swap board and pickup whatever is there. After that, spend the rest of the month swapping your 2 and 3-day trips for trips that are longer and you will easily get to what the FAR's allow. Not that hard even if you are junior.

Yes, I do have screenshots of it, however the point is that PWA 23.Q.13 allows them to remove/change a GS, even one that you have acknowledged, up to 2 hours prior to report without owing the pilot any guarantee $. I had no idea that they could do that. The only potential compensation is for any trip that you would have been awarded but were not due to the GS being on your line that was then later removed.

we need this to change in this contract. we acknowledge the green then we are responsible. we get babysitters, drive, flight commute......acknowledged=paid for both line and reserves. IMO
