Yep, second this. Works everywhere we've gone on 5 continents, and Wings has great customer service and low loan rates (airplane loan is through them @ 2.99%). Very happy with them, recommend if you live anywhere near a branch.

The email just dropped about the grievance settlement on AF/KLM. It does state it was all outside of section 6.

MEC update out. JV grievance settled for $30M, details on disbursement and settlement language to follow. Very curious whether the settlement changes the language going forward (probably a moot point if a TA is reached in Sec 6 anytime soon - but assume the settlement language would affect negotiation of new language).

Only 30 million? What the hell? $2500 per pilot if divided 12,000 ways? I'll be lucky to get a grand. No wonder why the company doesn't give a crap about scope.

Initially $30m sounds like a lot of money, but if you divide it evenly across 12,500 pilots it only works out to $2400. A tad underwhelming. The note did say the distribution method was also mandated by the agreement. No details on how they will be disbursed.

It's not a ton of money per pilot, but personally I'm not sure I'd like to set the precedent of personal enrichment at the expense of scope. In any case, $30m is a lot better than ALPA just negotiating the imbalance away as in the past. The rub will be whether the $30m is just for the past imbalance, or remedying that AND changing the language to put the company in compliance going forward....

I would guess we set a new floor at the current levels. 47.5 percent is the new base going forward. Miss it by a percent (we lose more flying or our partners increase flights without us), back to grievance for another $30 million.

Yeah, that's chump change to be able to have a contract written in light pencil.

This grievance was a nuisance for ALPA. Their heart was never in it.
But it had to be dealt with and it had to be separate from Section 6.
Now its done and nobody will be talking about this after tomorrow night.

I think we have a TA.
