They're getting longevity based pay at the White House now?

This isn't directed specifically at you Buzz, I've seen a lot of comments like this on here....

...but you guys know that a lot of the new hire pilots are gay, right? Several of them are good friends of mine, and every time I hear an anti-gay comment in the cockpit I wince thinking what these guys must hear from their captains. You guys will fly with a lot of them when you upgrade. Something to think about before you say something potentially hurtful to a person who has to share your cockpit for 4 days. :(

I agree but it's not just Captains. I had a FO tell me once that he thought Asian women were ugly (he actually used more descriptive language). You should have seen the look on his face when I told him my wife was Japanese. She is not but had to make a point. I never did tell him otherwise.

I think we've all gotten a little too danged sensitive about everything. Not every opinion on everything outside the mainstream media's fake supermajority zeitgeist is a victim generating hate crime/microagression.

Bravo JB! I have flown with gay pilots at all 5 airlines I have worked at including Delta. They are in both seats and usually are great to work with. I may have to renew my Flying subscription now. :D

Also I voted no to the TA. I took a picture to prove it.

Cool. Guess that means Tsquare might start to get lucky again on layovers. :D

I truly hope nobody is as dainty as you're portraying. I like a cockpit where everyone is teased and harangued equally. No slack for anyone.

Again, I hope none of our gay brothers are as brittle as you.

Hey, you can love and marry whomever you want. Do we have to bathe the White House in it? Many people in this country don't agree. I don't recall the White House bathing itself in other images or symbolic colors. I don't bring stuff up in the cockpit that even approaches possible controversy. I'm a respectful, professional, kind guy. Other than "did I hear that clearance correctly" or "are the chicken wings good there?"

People need to chill the eff out about a whole bunch of stuff. This being one if them.

Plus its funny that with the massive assaults on the 1st 2nd 4th 9th and 10th amendments, some total tax burdens well over 50% confiscated to feed the machine and the wildfires of thought crimes and government agencies targeting political opposition, so many are looking at this as the ultimate liberty in the universe. :rolleyes:

Not to mention allowing a petulant Manchurian man child to take credit for it who ran for office opposing it his whole career.

As for the people themselves making their personal decisions in their lives, if you're fun to talk to and buy every other beer on the layover (unless a new hire, in which case your money's no good here) then rock on.

Quick question;
Is LAX a full-up 717 domicile now?
I remember hearing a while back that it was going to happen.
