Just trying to make a point, in my normal, subtle fashion.

The guys who REALLY think like this will always be an obstacle we don't need.

But beyond that, there are a LOT of process changes that could be made, how we bid, how we change our schedules, how we do a lot of things, but there is simply no mechanism in place for line pilot input. No "tiger teams", no think tanks or heck, not even any focus groups.

There is a tremendous amount of bureaucratic inertia, both on the company side, and the ALPA side.

I'm totally with you and I knew what you were saying, I hope my post didn't come across wrong. I'm agreeing with you that when the "what are you going to give up?" brownosers pipe up I'm ready with all of the things I think we need to give up, just happens to be one sided on my part.

I should've added a :D but it was baby bath time and I had the baby but the bath was upstairs, with the wife, wondering where the baby was. So I typed it one hand and ran. And heck I didn't notice the last part of it didn't even load. Sometimes when I hit reply on this website it never loads, it just continues to run in circles like an 88 FMS.

So, :D

And as an SEC fan, thank you PAC-10 for having fun games to watch. Cold, wet, high scoring games. Fun. And I can't believe there might be a snowball in hell tomorrow... IAH SN? :D I say it with love. I enjoyed most of my time there.

What, no elections, LEC meetings, resolutions etc. Run for office, pass a resolution, present your case in front of the MEC, convince others that your way is the right way. There are plenty of mechanisms in place, the inertia is apathy and the all to convenient excuses for inaction.

Did all of the above.

We were told that resolutions are "not the will of the pilot group". Many resolutions are simply tabled or ignored....oops, I'm sorry "received" <cough> scope report <cough>.

Valuable commitees, such as PtP are shut down...can't have those pesky pilots talking to each other.
