I would be interested in hearing their response, if you wouldn't mind posting it.

They told me I didn’t have a needed 30hr rest period before my next trip started.....

You can plug the trip into the rules auditor and it will show those types of violations.

But if I don’t do this there is still hope that my crappy trip may get swapped. It is like Schrödinger's cat.

I had to call CS and have them put me in 30 hours of rest earlier this month after a 7 day stretch of reserve. The scheduler was reluctant to do so, since I was unused and going into a golden day. Didn't know it would cause issues with swaps...good to know.

They ended up putting me on rest over my X-day/Golden day, I can't find it anywhere, but does that result in a PB? I can't seem to find it in the PWA/Sched Handbook, but vaguely remember it coming up somewhere along the lines.

No, you're always in rest on your day off. But what they likely did was give you an additional 6 hours rest on the front or back of your day off, giving you 30 hours off.

Crew Skeds: We are giving you your day off off plus 6 more hours.
Pilot: In that case I demand a extra day off!!

Had reserve 2nd - 8th, 9th golden x-day. Rest started on the 8th at 1130 ending on the 9th 0000. Shouldn't rest have started on the 7th?

No. If you are not called out by 12noon the day before a golden day, you are automatically released at noon and go into rest. That gives you 36 hours...

Because this is an automatic release at noon, they don’t have to call you and tell you about it. Now if it was a regular X day, I’m not so sure.

No call, no release, no R on the schedule for last reserve day before a soft no-fly day.

I called after noon to be released or put into rest on my last day (long call) and was denied.

What's going on with all the rumored airline inveatments and outright buying Flybe that are out there?
