It's bad enough seeing all the regional jets on A and B now, but to see an Alaska 737 there now kinda rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah, me too! Unfortunately we are backing out of other routes in favor of Alaska. Case in point, we move out of a PDX to Hawaii route and they move in the next day. (I think it's HNL)

Suppose we do hire. Where will the FNGs go? Will the AEs of may and fall dictate that?

Whatever their seniority can hold is - probably DC9FO. We have a lot of DC9 FO's who would like to bid something else.

M88B NYC and DC9 DTW.

I think DTW will still go more senior, its only a .50-.90 cent difference on the FO side (no diff. for year 1 guys) and you won't have to cover three airports and commute into NYC!

I'll keep that in mind about the landing! Is the 700 the same way or more floaty?

The 700 lands the same. What you'll immediately notice with the 700 are the brakes. It'll stop wherever you want it to no problemo.

Also, its a frikkin sports car on takeoff. And, if possible, its even noisier then the 800.

So I live in Renton Wa, where they build the 737. There is a DAL painted 737 on the assembly line, well the rudder is painted anyway. Are we getting that one, or getting it and selling it?

So since the Alaska brand is so popular, maybe this will work after the merger? :D

On the first quarter conference call they said they were getting two 737-800's this year.
