Interesting that you have to result to personal attack and can't stick with facts.
And any objective observer will recognize that the vast majority of what I post is fact based opinion. I only occasionally respond in kind to personal attacks. You were overdue. |

I can absolutely agree to some of this. There are some fine folks in ALPA, but there is way way way too many bad apples to save the harvest. The bureaucratic circus at ALPA together with their enormous spendings on everything from RJ pilot groups to luxury items need to go. We, Delta pilots, need a union that put the well being of us, Delta pilots, on the front burner and not worry about every flying group out there.....We need DPA, for Delta pilots only.
Simple really....:D

But maybe it is time to get solutions in stead of resolutions? Something that very well can be obtained by DCU (Delta Crew Union). FA's and Pilots combined we would be a pretty significant group fighting for the best outcome for our company, our crewmembers, and our benefits / compensations..
Just a thought.. |

Payback's a biatch, right? Just sending a little of it back your way.

He wasn't here for either of those. Somehow he thinks the same movie will have a different ending.
I get the issues DPA has, really I do. If you want to effect change in your career, now is the time to get to those darn LEC meetings, talk to your reps, and if they have their heads shoved too far up their six, recall them. If you opt not to engage on that level, the division of this group will kill us going forward. If I were in management I know exactly what I would be doing to divide this group. Heck another SLI during a section six would be a good starting point, and then pit the junior versus the senior and all hell will break loose. We get some horrible deal, and guess what, it will be 2020 before DPA, or ALPA will get another at bat to right it. By my calculations most of the captains will be gone by then. |
The Airliners.net folks are saying this is what we proposed so looks like it should finally work out.[/QUOTE]
Speaking of airliners.net, someone put together an interesting operational analysis of Delta's wide body fleet. https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&p...jYzAx&hl=en_US |

But with the old ideas of an airline pilot union I do not see it possible, and hence I chose the second best option; DPA. My last choice is still ALPA and my thought process haven't changed, but thank for trying to make it look like it has. Like usual you're just making yourself and ALPA look worse, so please accept another "thank you" from me. Continue...... |
For anyone who's posted on L+G in the past three days....:D
