Sorry to change the subject but can someone tell me how to bid a specific pairing on a specific day in PBS. I usually bid RSV so have never tried this before. I waited 45 min on the PBS help line and got fustrated. Thanks

I don't think there will be furloughs from this AE. Its only a net surplus of 85, which is just a transient ripple on the surface in the grand scheme of things. ...

Two points not covered in the memo:
(1) Where can you get to from Memphis ...
LGA - 3X daily
EWR - 2X daily
DTW - 4X daily
MSP - 4X daily
SLC - 3X daily
SEA - Once daily
(drum roll)
ATL - 9X daily
Atlanta just went ~200 more senior

(2) Delta knows what is coming out in FT/DT rules. Apparently that means more Captains and less First Officers.

How many DC9 Captains are unlikely to make the transition? Usually this sort of thing makes a few want to retire.

Valid point, but have you tried MEM to ATL lately? Probably almost as bad as DFW-ATL. I had to do it a few times last summer and it was ridiculous. There were deadheading DCI guys all over the place, not to mention all the commuters. Last time I did it we had 4 guys in the cockpit of a 319.

I guess the CVG73N guys get one more AE before they are DTW bound.

No kidding. I figured CVG would go before MEM.

It seems like every one of these bids is a crapshoot. When they flush an entire base into the system it's hard to anticipate what the majority of guys will do.

I'm with Bar. I think I'd better start reviewing DC-9 (err -88) systems. I sense a flowback coming in ATL.

ATL M88B Reserve QOL?

How much are you guys getting used? I just took at open time and it appears that most trips have mostly 3-5 legs per day. I've grown lazy and am not sure I want to 4 day trips with 5 legs a day.

Anyone know how the commute is to NYC is from ATL?

Open the award trips.
Select paring number. Input desired pairing number.
While the award trips is still open and before hitting "Apply" select - Depart on date. Input desired date.

After you have both the pairing number and the date selected - then select Apply.

For all the future NYC commuters, learn to peacefully accept the phrases "Ground Stop" and "Ground Delay Program"

Also, add the website WWW.fly.faa.gov to your favorites.....it has a current updating map of all the GS/GDPs. You'll notice that LGA was in a Ground Stop/GDP for most of today that screwed up my commute (my last commute was during the October snowstorm up here....so maybe it's just me)

Nobody on here got anything correct about the bid except MEM DC9 going away. Your sources suck!

FYP, ASA the ATL DCI carrier had a very big displacement of their pilots here recently. Many of the positions were shifted to MEM. They have a nice commuter clause with minimal repressions, so I am sure you will see more of them DHing PSY to MEM
