For ALL the reasons you mentioned above, we need to very carefully evaluate any agreement that comes. In the end it may be a choice of "least bad" but I'm certain that our reps (at least the ATL and DTW guys that I've spoken with) are painfully aware of the scope situation on the bottom/top. We have no choice but to trust their judgement to direct this thing in the right direction. If they violate that trust (very unlikely IMO) then we vote it down: simple as that.

Maybe it's because it's Friday and the weather is nice, but call me half-full today :D

Yup. Just read the pinnacle thread regarding 115.5K. Now it's all coming together. So, now we know what mgt wants. Question is, is DALPA going to roll the dice and send this turd out to memrat?

I agree some of the parts of the NN are concessionary, but let's also remember that a lot of the people on this board are reserves at DL. It affects them, and that means it is very vocal. Reserve issues affect people who are junior, and those same issues may not affect regular line holders. Sure, those line holders may upgrade and become reserves, but people saying losing an X day here, or talking about how much they may work on reserve in the future will probably move up to a line holder anyway, and some of these issues won't affect them as much. They are important issues, but reserve does not last forever unless you want it to. Unless you are the plug in a category you can't get out of or the plug at the company, you also have to look at issues as a possible and probable lineholder.

I really don't see the NC even bringing a TA with planes larger than the current RJs. I just don't. It would be suicide.

Um, yeah... I don't see what point you are making here.

A pilot that's a 747A, while senior in the company, could be junior in the category and on reserve. Even if those voicing their opinions about this not being as good as it looks on paper do get more senior, being on reserve is an issue your entire career (depending on how you bid airplanes).

Sorry if I'm missing your point.

I see you edited your post.

Nor do I. My rep told me that its not an option and was not even asked or discussed as of Wed.

Don't want to stir the pot any more than it needs to, but I just saw the new Delta ad on I-85 South. It has a picture of an EMB-175 and says size shouldn't outrank service, UGH.

A little off topic, but does anyone know of a crash pad near Penn Station? I've been commuting to NY for several years now, and I'm tired of Kew Gardens.

PM me if you find anything good. Willing to do about $350 for the right place.

Hah, no crash pads in Manhattan. I've never seen one, good luck with that, considering the rents on the "big" island.
