Nope. Higher Power Aviation was a 737 type factory in Dallas during the time SWA required a 737 type. Management used to “stop by” for the lunch breaks there all the time.
When SWA went away from the mandatory type, I guess HPA sold out to all-atps

People who can afford it are more likely to be hired at Delta. Doesn't seem like the best way to ensure we're getting the best candidates. And shouldn't be allowed in my opinion. But that's just my opinion

One of the questions on the app is, "Have you ever failed ANY checkrides (military or civilian) or received an unsat (military or civilian) on ANY phase check, proficiency check, FAA check ride, line check or ANY portion of flight or simulator training (military or civilian)?"
I've never had a failure on a check ride or prog check, but I honestly can't remember if seventeen years ago I received an "unsat" on any particular objective of a flight lesson. I would assume I did at some point, but I don't have any records of that. How should I answer this question?

. There are lots of hiring practices that are not conductive to hiring the best candidates, but it is what it is. "Bridge" programs, flows (like we had with CPZ), etc... What is the cost of this program vs any other place you have to go to get an ATP?

As far as an individual ride not meeting MIF during pilot training that you can't remember, I might make mention of it in a note (but that is up to you) and if it is brought up that you have failed a ride, again, be as honest as possible. State exactly what you said here, that you very likely did, but that you can't remember the exact instance. Then you can talk about how you would have addressed it (learn, apply, share).
Delta want's real pilots that have grown and know how to improve themselves, not "super-pilots" that have never and will never do anything wrong, because those don't exist and the ones that believe they are, are a liability.

I had a few mil buddies trying to get hired at delta last year when we were barely hiring and had just started the ATP-CTP thing. They were unaware of the program and got their ATP the old fashioned way, at a local airport w a pilot examiner in a Seminole, etc. They never received interviews and were passed up for (arguably lesser competitive) guys who paid for the program. FedEx is happy to have them now...

If I'm not mistaken it was a term of them getting hired. Either way pretty crappy.
Lol, true they haven't asked me for my opinion either

This paid CPT program is another revenue to Delta. Delta can hire them before and put them through the cpt program, like any other company do.
If you bust the interview and get a 6 month reinterview, are the chances of getting hired lower on the second since the crew knows you busted the first time?
