If you have a legal right to work in the US I would say your chances are good. Best thing to do is get a application in. Delta looks beyond flight training. Make sure the application is correct and use a prep service to review the app. Update it frequently. Lack of PIC time might hurt but not a deal killer.

Recent interview Invites ?

Since the announcement of the pilot hiring slow down has anyone received or herd of any one revcieveing an interview invite?

Yes, I have heard of several - just much lower rate than the past few years.

My internal rec was submitted about 8 weeks ago. Haven't heard anything- think they've passed me by, or that the lower rate is just reeeeeally low?

You won’t know either way. But 8 weeks of waiting is nothing, even in the best of times.

I get that. I asked because I've had friends that, like me, have had their apps in for years with no response. However, as soon as they had an internal, they either got interviews and/or a fix-it within a few weeks. Just trying to figure out if there's any pattern. Glad I could give you a laugh while listening to the waiting lobby music!

Might be a revised one in the works.

Yesterday Joe D. in Eds video said that over 50 MD88's will be parked this year along. With about 50 deliveries of 321/737 and 220's coming that will put us at a wash with no fleet growth.

If Joe meant 50 88's and did not include 15 MD90's total fleet is actually decreasing.
