Dude, I can only give you the numbers that are calculated vis a vis pilots bidding for LCA trips and what 75% of those effected will be.

Beyond that we can all guess what might happen. Hopefully I gave enough additional information on the question of number of lines it would reduce in a category affected?

Let me know if I can ask anything else.

No, you did not. I am guessing for every linecheck guy = loss of 1 F.O. line per month. How many line check guys do we have?

Let me try again.

The numbers are that 250 first officers bid each month with LCA's.
Right now.

I am not privy to what the number of lines impacted would be.

There is an expected loss of about 2% of lines in effected categories.

That is all I got.

And as the retirements pick up, that number will at minimum double.

That's the problem. Their calculations of the number of pilots affected is WRONG! That's where the disconnect comes from. How many LCA's are there system wide? The 180 number tells me the answer to my question is 240 (I'd be curious to know if I'm correct or what the real number actually is). Sooooo they are only giving credit to the first level of affected guys. That's a fail for me.

As retirements increase, training and OEs will be rampant in all categories. ALL of them. IT may have a larger affect right now on new hire categories, and will probably always affect those categories to a greater degree. Going forward, especially past 2018 it will spread to all categories, and it will stay that way for some time.

I'm sure that's why it was on the companies hit list.

I can tell you that our current system is one of the best if not the best I've heard of. I can also tell you that if this stays in the TA as it is, it becomes one of the worst.

Far worse than AA's. The slide that the MEC put up saying that 100% of their LCA trips are pulled is patently FALSE.
