January/February are low flight months. We also stopped adding 200's last summer. As we roll out of February and add 14 ore 200's this year I would expect RSV time to drop significantly on the 200 again. New guys keep jumping to the 900 since they assume they will fly more and get a little more pay and put themselves in a position that will keep them on that air frame Leaving the 200 very Jr. and soon in need of FO's. Good times to come for 200 pilots.

Honestly at how many regionals these days does 10 years get you a CA line at a senior base?
The reality is MSP/DTW are our senior bases (especially the -900) and as Avro said the lack of backfill for the better part of a year now won't make it better.

Or it could just be that we actually take care of our planes and our team in TYS is comprised of rock stars. As I'm quickly learning, our TechOps team is pretty darn good. I wonder what our nightly Tech touch rate is? Anyone want to take a guess?

I think it was something on the order of 30-40% of our fleet is in a mx base nightly. Pulling into DTW one evening just as the jetway pulled up a mechanic walked up and said our aft nav light was out.. can't complain!
As far as TYS that happens every morning - we do the first flights to ATL (x2), LGA, DTW, MSP and I believe JFK. Thats just the nature of being a maintenance base - same happens in DSM and IND. TYS seems to have a lot of -900 service and if it isn't that it's a 717/MD90 on the route so I doubt it would be our "southern" -200 base.
