Any "Latest & Greatest" about Endeavor?
The article on Deltanet says that a prospective candidate would earn their minimum 1500 hours as a flight instructor and/or a regional pilot. But, barring a few exceptions, (of which I'm guessing wouldn't apply to most of their candidates), you have to have 1500 hours to fly for a regional. Regardless of stepping on a number of toes here at 9E, this doesn't seem like a well thought out plan.

On the plus side, it DOES indicate that Delta is considering how to fill pilot slots in the future and how to staff regionals. If they spooled this program up tomorrow, it will take those Delta employees a few years to go from private to even 1000 hr restricted ATP and in that time Delta may decide Endeavor pilots with good attendance and disciplinary records ARE worthy to be offered some sort of flow in line with this program.
I'd like it better if they were offering it to us now but I think this could lay the groundwork for us.

I agree with you. And while I won’t be here long enough to see either come to fruition, I think it bodes well for EDV pilots. Fingers crossed!
The part I thought was interesting was it said as a flight instructor or regional pilot at the company of DELTA's choosing. The return of Delta Connection Academy AND a way to fill Endeavor classes without a flow for current pilots? Interesting.

A small I'm talking tiny portion of their applicants could have gotten a degree at an aabi accredited school. I'm pretty sure some of the schools have aviation management degrees that count towards that restricted atp but didn't require any flying. Which means they could technically comply with a restricted atp with the degree they'd need the hours though. I could be completely wrong though?

If you were to be hired today, with 4000 total time, 1500 part 121 SIC time…
Would you be able to upgrade as soon as possible?
How long would you sit reserve?
Any chance of avoiding the -200 and being -900 only?
I wouldn't care what base I was in, just would rather be on the -900, because I currently fly that at my regional.

A vacancy only contains additional positions (i.e ones that are"vacant"). For example when they open Atlanta and it's +40 Captains.
A realignment has both additional and reduction positions. So if they were to open 20 Captain slots in Atlanta and close 20 Captain slots in MSP, such a notice would be a "realignment" (because they are "realigning" positions with their current business plan)
