I am tired of the " you chose to be a reserve" argument... Perhaps if FO pay were liveable to support a family, I could buy it, but that's just not the case as a sole income for a family here (or any regional) so it's not a choice to stay an FO and support a family in any base in our system.
At 80 hours average per month plus the bonus, 4 year FO pay comes out to 60-65k/ year. If you have a spouse with a somewhat decent job you can easily be into 6 figures jointly. This is far more than most people make. Everyone has their own financial situation. But if reserve is so horrible then take the cut and spend some time with your family. You can't tell me you can't raise a family on 65k a year and 18 days off a month? Unless you live in NY and have a ton of debt. Then I understand.

1. Seems like 3-4 months on the -200 (DTW), not sure about other domiciles.
2. -200s are being added every month or so. No firm commitment on numbers, but I recall seeing 36 currently earlier in the thread.
3. Anyone's best guess, many things can change in the next few years.
4. From what I gather, Delta doesn't want a flow agreement. As of right now, DGI is what we will have for newhires.

They have fleet expansion in the union deal that's on table right now.
3 to 4 is very realistic

This thing really does have something in it for everyone. I'm thankful for anything that comes our way.
I'm at 14 years and on reserve.

Don't know where you are getting your numbers from.

I know people that have just upgraded that had reserve for a month that's how. Growing fleet and upgrades =short rsv time.

On the -200 that is probably true. However there is a ton of stagnation on the -900 in the left seat.

The SSP attrition from the -900 CA ranks also is forecast to be in the form of reserve pilots. So there won't be much movement for CAs currently on the 900. The 200 is where the movement is and will continue to be.

I have 2 friends that are Endeavor FO's by choice. They both have told me they will make around $80K this year. Both are very senior get 18-20 days a month off and hawk open time. They are not afraid to work or make deals with crew scheduling. That has to be close to Reserve CA pay.

That is reserve captain pay and they aren't getting 20 days off as they are picking up open time on their days off to get anywhere close to that much money (remember FO pay is capped at about $39/hr) And they must be offering a LOT more premium pay for FO than they have been for captain then....
