They will want you to uograde while in ground school. They arent advertising street Capt, but if you come with 1000 121, your upgrading before your done withground school. With that said, you still have to do FO OE, then your upgrade to CA

Not necessarily accurate. You will upgrade after FO OE, if you are awarded a base with a Captain vacancy you can hold.

The decisions made by displaced MSP pilots (due to the MSP 200 base closing) will greatly influence all this. Quite a few very senior FOs in MSP have been homesteading in the right seat because they are crack smokers and want to live in MSP no matter the cost. (just kidding, MSP is great, but oh geeeeze the snow! Ya know? ) Some of those pilots might see this displacement as a sign that it's time to upgrade? who knows?

My main point is-a Captain coming to 9E should not assume they will get an instant upgrade at this time. Bid JFK/LGA Captain and yes, you will most likely upgrade very quickly, but you may sit right seat for a while depending on the timing of things.

There is no "street Captain" training program and I don't see them going thru the trouble of creating one until it becomes absolutely necessary, because it will be expensive to develop and implement and
the training department is barely keeping up with their current load.

And keep a good attitude about being an FO for a bit. Nobody at 9E wants to hear otherwise.

Just my take as a new-hire FO and previous 121 Captain.

Asked by whom? The FTI telling you you should upgrade isn't the same thing as the company being desperate for you to.

Default Opentime pickup on reserve

Quick question. If I pick up a trip in opemtime and am on reserve but don't credit min guarantee will it still pay on top of guarantee? This is also assuming I dont drop any of my originally scheduled reserve days and still only had 11 days off.

Also wondering if opentime is defaulted at 150% and how do you know if it is 200%?

Last question is are holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas) paid at 150% regardless of if they are in opentime or originally scheduled?

Also wondering if opentime is defaulted at 150% and how do you know if it is 200%?open time is at least 150% but the company may offer 200% for certain days, and open time premium doesn't include trades on the "open time board: just the pure open time

Last question is are holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas) paid at 150% regardless of if they are in opentime or originally scheduled? No, no extra holiday pay

if hired w/ 1000+ 121 time and all other boxes checked, a nearly-immediate upgrade appears imminent: how long are junior captains on reserve for?
are the -200s all going away, or just some?
idk why they bothered pulling so many out of the desert in the first place LOL
