LOL have you see the rest of that document? Some of the things in at opening salvo are so completely outside of the realm of reality its impressive. Obviously going for the sticker price trick so their next proposal doesnt look crazy by comparison.

It would, and EDV pilots would be right to expect an actual flow up in that case IMO, although it's possible something else could be offered that would be palatable. I don't really think they will put a lot of effort into getting it though in the current environment.
I do find it interesting that having to do an interview is considered hazing now though. As far as I can tell, AA is the only major that even has a real flow. I would like to see higher rates for the DGI, but I don't think the concept of a guaranteed interview is a horrible thing in and of itself.

As I've said before, I have no problem with some sort of screening process before going to mainline, but give us defined, merit based metrics. Not three BS tests and a popularity contest of a panel.

When you already work for the wholly owned subsidiary, doing a cog test, job knowledge test, and psych screen serves no purpose than hazing. If you don't have the cognitive ability, the job knowledge, or are psychologically unfit, you have no business flying for 9E either. All the other wholly owned regionals have flow, we have a coin flip.

Alaska has an interview, and they just added restrictions for those with CJO's through that program that may substantially lengthen time to movement. United is an interview but they aren't wholly owned. Anyone other than American wholly owned they you have in mind? American alone doesn't determine industry norms.

Hopefully the other AA WOs follow PSAs lead. Hopefully they exceed our rates and our recruiters struggle. Then DAL might throw another carrot (banana?) our way. Until then, Jeep making your podium announcements and wear that hat. Oh yeah, latency too!

The real liability is having a bunch of guys that were turned down by Delta still flying at an airline wholly owned by Delta. If, God forbid, we have a crash, imagine how that will play out in the media circus and court of public opinion. What do you mean Delta turned those pilots down because they failed a job knowledge/cognitive screen/psych test? That would be a PR nightmare for the ATL overlords.
This thought process is easily debunked by the fact that Delta is looking for employees, not just pilots. It wouldn’t be difficult to argue that while they weren’t a good employment fit for mainline, they could have easily thrived at Endeavor. Needless to say, I don’t think this particular argument holds any weight.
