We're in the Residence Inn Bloomington, by the big mall. Nice room, kitchen, workspace, etc. They even feed you some nights. Great setup for training. Wal-Mart a short walk away. They shuttle you back and forth to the schoolhouse too.

Awesome, thanks SB! Sounds like one can deal without a car for the 2 months of training.

Can you cook a descent meal with the kitchen space? Or is it just a small burner?

Happy to help...I see zero need for a car. I think 2 out of 24 of us have one.

Is there a laundromat nearby or do you do laundry through the hotel. And how expensive is it?

All hotels used for training have laundry. Some are free, some are a few quarters. This is not to be confused with normal hotels with x$ per item. Literally, you can do it yourself for cheap.

Training at endeavor, Currently and historically, has a breakfast and some nights covered on food. Lunch can be snagged at the DL cafeteria (cheap and good) or walking distance to multiple options at a "basic" cost (not expensive, but includes fast food and fast casual). Each of them also offer to make runs to a close grocery store if you want to grab food to make. Easy. I spend a good portion of my month in the training hotels (working in training) and have zero issues regardless of if I want to make food (highly unlikely) or grabbing a bite prior or after a sim session. If an adult beverage is desired, an establishment for that is also walking distance as well (even in Msp winter).

Moral of the story, don't fret the hotel. All will be well. If you have 2 or more days off, you get positive space home. If in training and you get hungry, you have sit down, grab and go, delivery, and cooking options with a room supportive of cooking.

You're not required to go home during training correct?

I don't know of any airline that requires you to go home. I think most, if not all, want you to be in base at all times during training. You get free hotel throughout your entire training footprint.
