Is this a serious question for someone about to start at a Part 121 scheduled passenger airline

Actually I been in a class where we had guys who haven't touched a plane in 10 years. I am sure they were all current upon completion of training.

An IPC is not required. If you can afford though, do it. Currency will put the odds in your favor to successfully complete training.

Nuts right? There are guys getting back in that haven't touched a plane in a long time. As for the person who asked the original question it looks like it was answered but I would at least go over some of the basic instrument stuff again, or use Flight Simulator to help you get back into the game of instrument flying if that's what you need. Our instructors are great but they're not going to be teaching basic instrument skills. Doing this will also give you more time to focus on the "meat and potatoes" of training.

Seems decent...but four years from now, they may have one of those fancy "F" things in place. Get in now while the getting is good!
12 month upgrade...

What's up with these long MSY overnights on the last day of a trip? I have one coming up and I've been seeing a lot on FLICA and the trade board. It's a 19 hour layover with one leg back to JFK on the last day that gets in around 2230.

Such a waste to do 1 leg on the last day and then not be able to go home because it gets in so late.

Any idea if we can get rid of these in the future or get them moved to the start or middle of a trip?

Is there anything we have to do on the employee website when we call in honest? I vaguely remember reading about a form on there but can't find it in some of the emails I looked at.
