Welcome to the airlines, and to delta. They say one thing, like we need 60 a month, we hire 40-50 a month, let go of 8 in training, another 6-10 each month are military so they are gone in 6 months. So we are really getting 20 something a month and apparently that's good enough.
Remember in 2014 #3 corporate goal was cheapest DCI. When that nearly shut down the company they paid us more and erased that for 2015.
Look, at Endeavor, everything is flexible, except we can't shut down. We've never hit our advertised hiring goal and the company still hasn't budged from the 3k hiring bonus. That may mean Delta/Endeavor identified the bonus expiration as the problem. More likely, since the gojets and republic aircraft never came we never needed it.
They'll grow us until they shrink us, they'll give us more airplanes like 50 seaters so we're ready to turn them all in for a different type and spool up quickly. We're expensive pawns. Enjoy it.

MEC email
So the MEC is doing a survey next week to negotiate a better deal for the pilot group... Whats in your wish list?? Here is mine, and in this order:
#1 Flow please
#2 $60.00 an hour 1st year pay and better pay rates after that, plus a bonus
#3 Make us a home based airline from select major airports like many corporate companies do (Like Delta Private Jets!)
#4 Long Call reserve
Thats all I ask for

I would say, in this order: locked down pay rates (49/hr min) so no more bonus, an improvement on DGI, commuter hotels (8/mo.), and finally long call reserve (basically just copy paste how mainline DL does reserve).

What part of that was negative el stupido? We're not gonna get shut down. We don't hit our hiring goal but it's nothing to be worried about. The 50seaters that come are giving us something to do until they give us something else. They tried to make us dirt cheap, and since that failed, they erased that goal and made us the most expensive. It's fun to be the best paid and have realistic and low expectations from us.

1. Flow
2. 60/hr without a bonus is reasonable
3. Commuter hotels
4. Active 9E higher priority than DL retirees
5. Long call reserve
Flow and nonrev priority would have to be put into Delta's contract language, though. Not expecting much there.

Sorry if this has been addressed. Not trolling or changing topic. I have a question.
How long is DL planning on operating the -200??? I read they will limit capacity growth, park 50 seaters & take back flying from feeders as feeder cost increases.
Maybe these investors & analysts are wrong? But when you read quarterly earnings statements from DL top mgmt , they mention these same ideas and alluede to what their plans are, and talk about route structures & feed & 50 seaters.
But then i see over the past yr that they are doing the exact opposite & bring -200 out of the grave yards in KIGM, Roswell, etc.,

Feel free to call me stupid. When it comes to staffing and planning numbers, this game will be very fun to play. We aren't hiring enough. With the latest changes in the regional arena, things must change. For the better, and soon. Notice the email from the mec? That's not a coincidence.
Why would I quit when the money and benefits keep falling from the sky. Ill let you continue to make my arguments for me. Thank you el stupido.
