We’ve always been better staffed than Piedmont or PSA thanks to west coast flow bots.

Didn't realize THKool-Aid got banned. I was starting to wonder where's he's been here justifying why we have 220+ pilots doing nothing and countless CJO's & cadets doing nothing while other WO's hire Randoms off the street.

i was pleasantly surprised to hear about that during my most recent peepee slap for naming the protected one by name..... he who shan’t be named.... Lord BlueFalcoMort..... the “victim” actually.... that piques my interest. If I’m referring to Lord Bluefalcomort, cant I just abbreviate that with LB? I guess I’ll find out soon enough. Perhaps you’ll get to meet CLE 2 IAH soon.... |

I’ve heard from someone that Chicago is coming back with 100 lines in the coming months. I guess things are picking back up

I hope it is true. |

Fair enough for sure, but Spirit is also hiring 400 this year alone, so 20-30 a month. Not saying all are coming from Envoy, but I imagine we have a fair bit of applicants in that pool.
If Envoy secured just 1/5 of the current openings, that's 100 pilots off what I would assume is the top of the seniority list. Is that a ton, no certainly not, but it is start. |

Why would an Envoy pilot apply at Spirit when they went to Envoy for the FFFLLLLOOOOOWWWWWWWWW. Not working out as planned? 😂

The typical spirit experience! Where everyone is group 9! |

I wouldn't be "blown away" if such a thing was true, but it won't surprise me if it is less than that as well. I am trying to remember back to the good times of 2019 and I "think" I remember a month with over 150 lines in ORD. It would be a big leap from 26-100, but who knows.
I hope it is true. |

Not that it's a super accurate indication of our flying, but if you go to travel planner and look at a typical 175 rout out of ORD like TUL, We have like one daily departure this month, Next month there's two operated by RAH, but the month after there's 3 operated by Envoy then the following month 4. Obviously things could change but I'm optimistic flying will increase in ORD this summer.

all that said, at my age, I was never there for the flow. It’s a good thing I wasn’t, because I have friends that had flow class dates cancelled a year ago that are still at envoy waiting. That means that my 6 to 9 year flow depending on what line of thinking you choose to believe became a 7 to 10 year flow. Spirit was my first choice and really my only choice. I am glad every day that I made the jump. The work rules and reserve rules are unbelievable, the flying is what I want (no desire to fly WB) and the people are cool as heck. Everywhere we go, I am one flight from home and our lack of a traditional hub/spoke structure is fun. There is definitely a culture associated with this company and I see that in the captains that I fly with. we brief and harp on the same things that every other airline briefs and harps on but for some reason the flying just feels a little bit more laid-back. i dunno. To each their own but I can tell you I’ve written some letters for SEVERAL AA WO pilots so far....my very first month holding a line I had a true 18-day off line without even touching it. The ability to drop and pick up out of any base gives you complete freedom to build your schedule however you like it I think I chose correctly and my home life agrees. Best of luck to anyone else trying to come aboard. If you want to be here, we want you here. If you turn your nose up at us, that’s cool too. |

as dera said, I chose envoy because it was the right fit for me and I’m glad that I did. I don’t have a ton of negative things to say outside of how terrible the reserve rules were and how I hated sitting airport standby but I knew that going in so..... eh.

Speaking of Spirit, anyone hear back yet on their app since the window opened back up last month? |

Several CRJ 900s are being placed in service to support AA operations.
Memo just went out to SkyWest pilots about 900’s being placed in Dallas. We’re getting the shaft. |

Those are spares for reliability as the previously mentioned 700s come on-line

Giant TC will be missed. Thanks for your service!

He will not regret moving on and giving up the flow. Once he checks the WB and Intl boxes as well, I am sure he will end up on a mainline seniority list somewhere quicker than then flow...
