What email are you talking about, if you're refereing to the one Bob loblaw posted on the last page of this thread, then you are wrong, Sam sent it out last night. If your stating that Sam lied in the email about being tired of this management, then I agree with you, Dic and Pedro get away with this crap because our MEC is this management's significant other. Otherwise I have no clue what email you are talking about.
I am referring to the most recent email. Evidently through a source that his leadership style has always been "play nice with company", "don't rock the boat". But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
However there is something shady going on with this junior captain getting CA 175 DFW. He's not on the flow plan and has been in training for two weeks already.

A fight broke out at today's meeting. What happened is. Sam walked into Pedro's office, Sam asked where Dic is, Pedro said"ah,ah, not sure he'll be here soon". At the same time Sam heard a thump under Pedro's desk, and he said what the hell is that Pedro, "ah,ah,ah, nothing". So Sam walked around Pedro's desk and saw that Dic was under Pedro's desk. Sam yelled at Pedro, and Pedro said don't talk to me that way Sam, then he smacked Sam. Not sure what happened after that, they closed the door. I can report that they came out an hour later and all seem happy!

I have to laugh at CRJ's posts, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
During my interview at Simmons in the late 80's, they told us:
"You won't sit reserve, there is so much movement and hiring".
-We were on reserve for 18+ months.
"You will upgrade before 24 months, our FO pay scale only goes to five years, but no one has ever been an FO that long"
-My upgrade was over six years.
When they were selling the 16 year contract/flow deal they said:
"Cecil assured us that AA won't hire for the next two years, all the Eagle pilots will have seniority numbers/ be ready to flow before they start to hire"
-Within a year, AA was hiring 100+/month off the street, costing the flows thousands of numbers.
"Everyone at Eagle that wants to flow will be at AA in five years".
-Took most of us 10+ years to flow.
Don't make your decision where to work, on whats going on there right now, or what unicorns and rainbows management promises. Things will change, and most of the management promises will be empty.
AA is still better than Eagle, and a no brainer instead of staying there, but many of the problems you are having, mainline is having as well. Horrible trips, reduced average days off, few days off between trips, deadheads, pay problems, bad hotels, it's all going on here as well.
Two days off between three day trips, and three off between four days is pretty standard, at least on the 80, many trips are only commutable on one end. There are a couple of MIA bus lines that work 20 days next month, with one day off between trips. They can use a long layover as your 30 hours off.
Parker is working on creating the largest ULCC in the world. The money is better, but the QOL isn't what it used to be.
