New Envoy Information
#2741
When I was a new hire, there were five slots for DFW, and the other 13 were SJU.
Sometimes you have to play the cards you're dealt.

There have been three displacements in the past 18 months. Anyone hired before Miami closed could of proffered to displace out of the CRJ. I know newer guys have no choice and the latest displacement might of kicked a few emb guys to CRJ guys but not that many.

It's been discussed many many times before, but short answer is the envoy travel benefits are the best in the industry (PSA an PDT have the same). Yes, they are the same as AA. For the actual jumpseat, AA gets priority on their own metal and visa-versa for us and all the other WO's. Priority is based on check-in time as opposed to seniority, so as a junior RJ FO you don't have to worry about a mainline guy bumping you just because you're the low man on the totem pole.

I believe he is talking about jumpseat priority where its time of sign in now. But us airways was seniority for everything so it's not really a US Airways policy, just a new policy brought on by the US Airway management.

Anyway, latest is that there will be a whopping 2 new-hires in May. Thank our illustrious management team for "making envoy great again!" Reserve rules are despicable, pay is awful, crew scheduling does what they want with full immunity, and our "leaders" are vindictive and intent on making this place a bottom-tier airline. I wonder why we can't attract new-hires?!
