New Envoy Information
#2752
Anyway, latest is that there will be a whopping 2 new-hires in May. Thank our illustrious management team for "making envoy great again!" Reserve rules are despicable, pay is awful, crew scheduling does what they want with full immunity, and our "leaders" are vindictive and intent on making this place a bottom-tier airline. I wonder why we can't attract new-hires?!
RW needs to understand SJS is a real thing these days and they need to figure out how to increase throughput.
I, like a lot of people, are starting to get tired of mgmt seeing what the problem is with proof in the data and still doing nothing to correct it.

What mgmt needs is to get their heads out of their asses and realize that the 2 are because there isn't a 175 choice in that class.

Great, we are so glad that you come back to grace us with your presence along with your conspiracy theories. You do realize that you don't work here right?
Many out there are upset because the Envoy flow is working as advertised and pilots at other regional carriers compare themselves with an Envoy pilot and see that pilot heading to AA. Others are jealous as they spent 15 years or so at Envoy during the lost decade and had to wait till their 50's to flow. Most of the guys at Envoy now are late 20's, early 30's and will make it to AA by their mid 30's at the latest which gives them a full career at the largest major airline in the world.
Just get over it. The flow is working. We just had 35 new hires for April and are projecting even more for May. It seems that pilot candidates out there have gotten the word and are headed to Envoy as they realize that is the only way to AA. PSA and PDT also have flows but they are a drop in the bucket when you compare the numbers Envoy flows.
We are almost to 2010 hires for the next upgrade. The upgrade will continue dropping quickly after that. Yes, Envoy is the place to be.

It must be soberingly noted what the April and May descrepencies demonstrate regarding the ability to attract new-hires which prove that the biggest draws to Envoy are NOT the AA flow (or even pay/bonus), for if it was, pilots wouldn't care so much what aircraft or domicile they'd get as long as they got in the Envoy/AA conga line as soon as possible. Thus since the shaky flow isn't the main draw, the factors in play put Envoy between a rock and a hard place are the opposing dynamics that need to be eliminated to change Envoys future, which due to its existence almost certainly involves contraction which then only tightens the the flat spin as a smaller Envoy upgrades fewer and slower, which means the flow slows even more as Envoy has demonstrated it will not flow itself out of existence (even a little, i.e., the withheld 5 from March) for altruistic benefit to its present pilots.

Aside from our low pay, I think the word is out on how atrocious reserve is, especially if you're junior. So while tricky ricky thinks it's smart to prolong the reserve negotions and abuse the pilots so that some are getting as little as 7 days off at home all in the name of better performance, he's really just killing the recruitment. Tell me at what other company that at least values their pilots A LITTLE BIT, are they starting at 4am on day 1? If there's a potential one would have to commute, why the F would they come to envoy for that? Idiots.
Come here if you want to flow in the next 6 years or so, because I still do have a semblance of confidence of that working out. But besides that, your life will suck as a junior FO on reserve. At least as a junior CA you can put up with it because there's a light at the end of the tunnel and you're getting paid decently, but FO's? Ain't nobody got time for that!

Th next class was bigger until they found out no 175 positions were available so most of the guys scheduled for class denied it. They are waiting for 175 slots and losing seniority. Which is stupid. They were still offered DFW 145 if they wanted it, but they have SJS so bad they turned it down.
There is only 12 E175 FO slots open a month, the next class will offer 175 again. They have no issue filling 175 slots but can't just offer them to everyone all the time, obviously. We have other much larger fleets that need to be staffed as well.
Soon these guys will probably expect AA to give them 777 FO as new hires or they will deny it.

Managements new estimates are now down to 200 flows from 360. It's my belief that we will be lucky to get 180. This shows the fragility of projections and that trust is still a major issue between envoy pilots and management.
