They are a small amount and with trip trade can be worked around. So other regionals what is a Jr line holders schedule like??

The $15,000 question is will Envoy be willing to flow itself into a weaker operational position or worse yet, essentially out of business ?

I don't believe AAG will allow the PP agreement at Envoy destroy the carrier, the only question is when and under what circumstances they pull that trigger. My bet says sometime shortly after the 824 have flowed, but that variable is dependent upon just how fast things are going south at Envoy pilot staffing wise.
I'm not a lawyer but this runs deeper, it is my understanding the pp upto Oct 2011 are part of a settlement. That settlement got deeper during ch11 in which we settled open grievances. Pp are part of a settlement, not just contractual.

Also the comeplete loss of pilots retained by stopping the flow would far exceed the amount retained and recruited with it. I'm sure aag is aware of this, as it seems to be their main tool anyway. The wheels would literary fall off the bus.

The two year commitment for the 15k bonus is making me feel a bit uneasy.

the PP is outside the 824 arbitration award. The PP is a negotiated item in the CBA. Therefore it is open to violation by management at its whim as the rest of the contract. Whether in CH11 or not, it is a negotiated item, I do not even think the BK judge had to sign off on it either.

Agreed, While some want to rationalize it as carrying special weight, it is no more bulletproof then any other contractual provision. Unless something unforeseen and monumental alters Envoys recruitment and attrition, a day of reckoning looms where difficult decisions will have to made. The present tacks of kick the can, moving the furniture around the house to fill a presently used room or burning it for heat at some point will be insufficient.

They question is when and then what is there next move.

Is that bonus awarded after IOE or the first day of groundschool?

You should know. This thread is being used by only a couple people. 1 person acting as 4 people, and a few of us pointing out the bullthat 1/4 is saying.

Envoy should be one of the last choices for a new hire. ENY, PDT, AND PSA are the three worst regionals to work for. Picking which one is the the worst, well that just depends on what you want to be the criteria, they all are terrible.

It's funny, there never is good said about ENY on the line and on forums. As soon as Envoy has to pick up hiring because they allow themselves to fall way behind, you get a couple of guys making ENY seem good. But even what they push is junk, they say it won't last long, you'll only be here 6 years. Yet magically if that 6 was true, you'd have a crappy six years.

STAY AWAY FROM ENVOY, the only cheerleaders on here are on recruitment, and small guy in management. Our union should let potential new hires listen in on conference calls, then they would get the real story on how bad things are here right now

Envoy works if you're brand new to the airlines and want to be based in Dfw, honestly. I think it's a better option than Mesa or xjt. But, other than that, you're kind of right.
