Well yeah anyone who thinks that opening a MIA base will be the holy grail that saves this airline is guzzling the koolaid.
It will be a QOL increase for some here. And it will be another option for new hires.
No sense in worrying what the downsides of opening a new base are since it's not up to the pilots to fix them.

If so, then yes it would go super senior especially if E-175. Since many DFW E-175 drivers are probably locals that wouldn't jump to MIA, in this scenario, few new hires would get it and not many DFW E-175 slots would open and so it wouldn't do much for new-hire attraction as the vacuum would mean more CRJ/145 vacancies. It would also make MIA a VERY expensive hub/domicile for Envoy with not only start up costs, but training costs and super senior pay costs and all for potentially a measly 20 aircraft hub. Great for a couple of hundred senior Envoy pilots filling both seats though.
Does your CBA or any LOA's allow management to staff a new MIA E-175 domicile with new-hires first (for F/O positions) ? If so, it screws the present pilots.

A satellite 145 base maybe, just maybe... I would love to hear who the source is on this one.
Considering that Republic is moving additional 175's down to MIA and has just added 20% to the MIA pilot staffing totals. There is absolutely no need for or even a place to park these additional Envoy aircraft.
Unless the rumor that AA is pulling out their MIA 737 ops is true as well.

This rumor has legs from above.

Latest rumor is that AA will fly the 190 thru the MIA system.
You know to keep helping RAH awefull performance there. MIA numbers have improved since Envoy is flying more in FL. Crews are Deadheading from ORd and DFW to fly the MIA system and deadhead back to their base the last day.
