I hope they move those next 20 E175 aircraft to MIA. MIA is my first choice!

Interesting that AAG files a 433 million dollar claim against republic last friday. Then about a week later this news comes out. Guessing they are related in some way.

Yeah, I heard that because the cx numbers in ord went down, they need republic back in to get the numbers up again...

Just received a CJO. Does anyone know how new hire classes are assigned aircraft? Is each class assigned a certain plane or does it just go by base? I want the Ejet but don't care much about base. Just wondering how to insure I get it since I am already typed.

Aircraft assignments are done by age (oldest gets first pick and so on), aircraft and base availability.

Anybody know if they're still letting hires pick base and aircraft? Last I heard they still were, and offering a bonus to go to ORD.

Recruitment called me 2 weeks before class saying if I'd like to choose any other base and plane than DFW 175. I chose DFW 145 and they gave me the extra 5k bonus.

So I take it that any given new hire class can have people going to different bases and different planes? I thought you could at least pick your base...

You can, but it's done on day one of class and you get what is available when your turn comes up based on seniority in class. I don't think they're still doing the guaranteed base and equipment before you show up like my class in April had.

As of last week, the word is base choice guaranteed, but not airframe. Also, at that time DFW E-175 was not an option, but I suppose it will be now that ORD E-175 is no more. We shall see.
