Hey guys, I need a real answer. I'm 33 years old and currently flying for a Part 135 Scheduled "airline". I've been thinking for some time about joining an airline. I'm really looking for the benefits, long term pay, and of course the retirement offered at the mainline carriers. I have a wife with a kid on the way, so these things are very important to me. Is there anyone that could offer advice that is currently employed at Envoy (or any other Regional) that could give me a real look into how it is. Obviously, the pay cut would be difficult, but I'm not getting any younger and I know the pay will significantly increase the longer I stay. The reason I am interested in Envoy is that I would greatly prefer a DFW base.

Thanks in advance for the advice. Communicating over PM is preferrable

Heard through the grapevine that a union rep was fired, and I'm not talking about Cujo. Anyone else confirm this?

Yes. A Captain rep was fired.

Management is trying to keep the pilot group from rising up against them.

Yeah the guy sent an email out about. There weren't any specifics just that his employment was terminated and a grievance has been filed.

Side note: The rumor from the crew room was that it involved social media.

Even the most ardent detractors should be able to clearly see that Envoy is viable now with 16 new hires today and 11 in the last class. Our numbers are trending upward which bodes well for the original flow projections to work as planned.

The trend is in the right direction, but how many new hires per month was the original prediction based on, and how many behind are we right now?

Wasn't it based on classes of 25, twice a month? With an expectation of 42-45 per month making it out of training?
