In the end, who cares who I work for. It's irrelevant.

What's relevant is that I'm an Envoy Truther while you are an Envoy Cheerleader with a few others on here. Or, you can call me an Envoy Basher if you like.

No..............just e145 and e175. Crj is only for a select group.

So do some of you guys. You just troll in a different direction and then pot/kettle others to rationalize your own "trelling". There.........I've invented a new internet term;

Trelling, To Trell on the Internet: To troll and sell at the same time; The act of participating in a sale using trolling techniques.

Go for the E-175. New and shiny and almost certainly better schedules. Plus, in any fragmentation of the airline done by fleet in the future, you'll most likely end up at a better place (still a wholly-owned) with more security. It's a no-brainer.

Eaglefly is misleading. In all actuality, the 145 will give the best QOL. It is the largest fleet with the most flying. Also, seniority is more important than equipment with the CRJ brining the exception. If you want the ORD base, any equipment will do. Reserve for the 145 is not long anymore, maybe 5 months.

But as Envoy contracts, it will be the E-145 fleet that contracts first and fastest. From my understanding it also has the crummy early/late schedules that make commuting a nightmare, even with free rooms. Most importantly though, I think it will be the fleet most at risk for being fragmented off to a non wholly-owned carrier (it's pilots do have recall rights as slots would open in any non divested segment of the present Envoy) and that alone would lead me to the E-175 if I were a new-hire.

The regional industry is dying and the larger, newer jets have longer shelf lives and better odds AFAIC. The little Embraers are turbofan powered dinosaurs only viable now due to cheap fuel.

Four years from now, which aircraft will still be used? The 145 or the 175? What about in 10 years? I'd put all my eggs in the 175 basket, personally.

So do you think my friend who's been EMJ reserve for 3 years in DFW would vouch for this?

They were talking about ORD 145 reserve. It IS about 5 months, CRJ is a little longer like 8-9 as of last month. I don't know what JULY looks like.

ORD E175 will have new hires bidding lines and they will be senior on that equipment almost immediately. No other FO's on property can bid it besides DFW 175 FO transfers, and there probably won't be that many of those.
