What non-envoy company do you work for now? ag386 usually brings 7 layer bean dip to the Envoy Haters club meetings, eaglefly always brings celery and hummus and cheep beer but then drinks all the more expensive craft brews. I would suggest you bring a lean protein but nothing with too much salt. They are all getting ready for the end of summer beach field trip next week.
Our bash won't compare to the usual suspects 3-ring circus and carnival complete with fluffy cotton candy, sugary snow cones and of course, Dr. FlameNSky's mysterious magic elixir that promises to cure all questions of fuzzy math, inflated claims, baseless assumptions and lack of logic.

Life at envoy is god awful. The company could not be happier. Abusing the heck out of pilots means you need less pilots. Yes people pay attention: you are NOTHING but meat for the grinder. When the luster of being an airline pilot is over(go speak to any airline pilot not sucking on the company boob, they will tell you it becomes as tedious a job as any other sometime around year two), you get a nice 30 hour lost weekend in wonderful locales like Lawton Oklahoma, Waco Texas, Joplin Misery......while another airline at your very terminal, flying some of your better old routes, gets weekends off, and is home 15-17 days per month while the average FO here has 12-14. It is a BIG difference and trust me - if your recruiter(aka liar in chief), skips past these kinds of things, it's what you SHOULD focus on.

That might be the case on the little jets, but the destinations in the E175 are nothing like you mention.

So the destinations on the 175 are better?

Who cares what 18 airplanes (e175) do, the majority if not 90 percent the schedules are what pilot crusader states.

Also for august the word for the crj is 130 lost weekends and not even cdo's can help out this mess. Envoy management every month tweaks the schedule even more terrible.

Envoy su ck s for this reason alone even though there are any reasons.

Sorry, I'm just new and trying to get a feel on whats going on. I have 3-4 weeks before I apply (to somewhere). Tell me what's behind the 20k bonus I read about. Did they raise the bonus or some special thing put out to get people to ORD? The reason I'm asking is because I'm a broke flight instructor and a good consistant payday will be a big change for me.

130 lost weekends ? Jeez, no wonder no one wants to fly them. According to Wiki as of 2 weeks ago, the CRJ's will be gone sometime after 2017, the 40 E-140's will be parked Q3 this year and another 18 E-145's transferred out. That's 93 aircraft to eventually phased out over the next couple of years or so, if true.

Perhaps they have a plan to deal with feeble recruitment and moderate attrition after all ?

It's a real shame to hear Envoy hasn't changed much, and that they continue to use and abuse the pilots with little or no change to QOL. Having jumped ship from that sh**hole I have zero regrets.

Personally, there should be a mass exodus and it's unreal that you guys continue to deal with the stress/abuse.

Sorry, the little jets comment had me rolling. Doesn't matter if you're on the 145 or the 175, you're still at Envoy.

Hmm, hadn't heard that version. I could be wrong.

Then we will have to wait and see. That was the word last week. Who knows by next week, we may give all our flying to skywest as we have done with the mid day flying in ord.

Envoy and the other w/o's are being herded around like lost sheep looking for that flow date which is every month getting less flowing.

But wait dui and skipper have a plan to get rich while you scrape pennies.

Come to envoy get 15k bonus and take a pay cut second year. Only at an aag regional is this a positive.
