So is this how DTS works?
Have block of 20-26 for vacation. So you select DTS (option 2) and if you bid a line which has a sequence that is 17-20 on, 21-23 off and 24-27 on. It should drop both trips but you would only be paid for days 20, 24, 25 and 26. So 17-27 off? Is that the basic principal of it?
But let's throw vacation slide in there. They will slide 3 days forward or back so in this case likely forward, so now you vacation block is 17-23. And even with DTS selected, because the slide happens first they won't drop that second trip in this scenario? Is this correct? So it's probably best to only select DTS and not slide if you're attempting to maximize days off.

This is correct.
I'll add with slide that you can slide forward or back, as long as there is a trip touching the front or back.
If you want max time off, DTS is the way to go. Just pick the hours back up as OT on days that work for you.

Hey guys, I need a real answer. I'm 33 years old and currently flying for a Part 135 Scheduled "airline". I've been thinking for some time about joining an airline. I'm really looking for the benefits, long term pay, and of course the retirement offered at the mainline carriers. I have a wife with a kid on the way, so these things are very important to me. Is there anyone that could offer advice that is currently employed at Envoy (or any other Regional) that could give me a real look into how it is. Obviously, the pay cut would be difficult, but I'm not getting any younger and I know the pay will significantly increase the longer I stay. The reason I am interested in Envoy is that I would greatly prefer a DFW base.
Thanks in advance for the advice. Communicating over PM is preferrable

Side note: The rumor from the crew room was that it involved social media.

Even the most ardent detractors should be able to clearly see that Envoy is viable now with 16 new hires today and 11 in the last class. Our numbers are trending upward which bodes well for the original flow projections to work as planned.
