I've been wondering about the same thing. This deal does NOT get rid of the 4/12 caps. On year 2, FOs will reach year 4 pay, the cap, so they stay on that pay step until they upgrade, I think...? FOs do get 10K bonus for 2 years after one year of service.

Currently, you are correct. But with the significant (albeit unbalanced) pay bumps/bonuses combined with the flow/move-to-other-airline outflows, it appears very likely that in a year both upgrade and flow numbers will be half as long as they are now. I am sure that the 40 per month flow will be capped at some point, but it looks like they are trying to make good on the 2.5-5 promise of Charlie Bucket.

Currently, envoy's most junior Captain = 8.5 years. Most junior flow through = 16+ years. Recent announcement is strictly bait to attract new hires.
Reserve life at envoy sucks. Hard line-holder at envoy also sucks. Mostly non-commutable 4-day trips with 11 days off a month. No duty or trip rigs.
Horrible quality of life at envoy right now. I'd seek elsewhere.

Hahaha, I only know MY lines so no, most lines do NOT have 11 days off, most lines have 14-15. I'm not on RSV but I bet it does suck, unlike other regionals? The flow is at 16 years and will stay there until next year, then it will go down to 12-13 years. I'm done spoon-feeding for today.

Curious how you manage 14-15 days off/month. I'm not calling you a liar or insult I'm honestly just wondering. From a lot of what I hear it isn't uncommon for a 4 day trip to credit 16-17 or worse with no trip or duty rig.
Wouldn't that put you around 70 hrs of credit for the month?

Here is a quick workup that I did regarding the comparative pay rates for all the major regional carriers. I looked at 5 and 10 year total compensation with regards to bonuses, upgrade times, and per diem. Obviously things like defined benefits and overtime/hidden-time income can't be taken into account. Go here for the financial workup. It is a little surprising.
Regional Pilot Job Pay Comparator ? RPJ ? Regional Pilot Job

Though I think it's a little misleading to guesstimate the change in Envoy upgrade time without doing so for the others..many of which have upgrade times on the verge of dropping. But I understand you're at Envoy so you have more insight there than you would at other regionals.
Overall good info though

I don't disagree about the qol disputes. Every regional has them, and they will never go away. Management is on record saying that they don't think new hires prioritize qol over pay, and for the most part they're right.
We might not like it, but this is what the industry is morphing into.

Pay is (somewhat) easier to quantify.

67/154 DFW E145 have 14 or more days off.
The average build out seems to target lines in the 18 hour range with some 4 days pushing 27 hours mixed in with random garbage in the 14 hour or less range with a lost weekend being thrown in to annoy you. I don't have the numbers for what it takes this month to hold 14 or more days off but the last time I checked for ORD E145 earlier in the summer it was less than a year. Around 80 lines within that bid pack credit over 80 hours. Obviously not all of those lines have greater than 14 days off though.
Not getting fired for one year would be the easiest way to manage 14-15 days off in a month. How does that compare to your shop?
