You keep saying "discriminate" like this is a civil rights case. It's a business, plain and simple. If you can give a logical reason as to why it's important to pay a retention bonus to someone who isn't going anywhere other then retirement, I'm all ears.

Don't bargain with ourselves. Don't want management to see what we are willing to accept.

I am not self serving. Those who support RW's letter as is are self serving. I just said, that it is deplorable and discriminating as the letter from RW states Captain Retention Bonus-for those flowing to AA. That means not all captains. I have no issue with the rest of RW's letter, just that it does as in its current form discriminate.

Care to post the letter so the rest of us can weigh in on what the language means?

New AAG rules, termination posting company related emails. Don't believe me, call my union and ask them.
I will let someone with less to lose post it, or one of the management trolls here could do it.

Because the ones who are flowing to AA have options that makes them more likely to leave for a non-AAG carrier, unless they are retained via monetary means. Those who have made the decision to stay at envoy until retirement don't have those options, or they would have already left.

those who have taken RW's side are self serving, because they are going to get something. I just asked why is AAG and envoy not including all the pilots in the captain retention bonus, and if they don't it is discriminating.
Because if they truly wanted more money then they would flow. It is not about money for these pilots, but about there quality of life and fear of the unknown. They are not after more money so why would the company pay. If it was me I would include them, but I am not a business man

They're doing the bonus because they don't feel we need to be offered seniority numbers yet. My bet is they will. I just hope they don't wait too long to realize it.

Right because everyone was hiring like gangbusters between 1998 and now. Seriously dude?[/QUOTE]

Yes. Seriously... The flow was part of 1998 deal. Thats when it started.. So thats when we should judge its value... All im saying is if there selling 800 flows. Thats misleading...
