So, idk if I should be sad or not. Forgot to bid, no line for me this month but I’ll be basically on top of the rsv list. So a free month?

I’ve done that before when I was pretty senior. It actually worked out pretty good, as a commuter. I would just proffer trips and add trips

Depends on domicile staffing. You might have a good month. May is slow until Memorial Day.

Default Negotiations Update

April 20, 2018

During the MEC meeting that took place this week the Negotiating Committee updated the officers and reps on what talks had been taking place with the Company. The Company has yet to present an official offer with regards to a settlement on the flow through grievances. Your MEC leadership has determined that if an acceptable settlement offer is not presented imminently we will be required to move in a different direction.

We are also aware that many pilots are becoming anxious with regards to the summer staffing crunch that we seem to face each year. In February the Company approached the Negotiating Committee with a proposal to buy back vacation blocks from pilots at a substantial premium in order to ease their staffing crunch. We received draft language from the Company and we notified the Company that it would be beneficial to our pilots. Unfortunately, the Company has now decided not to sign this agreement. Although the Company has not given any indication of plans to cancel vacation at this time, we recommend that all pilots with vacations over the summer months review the vacation cancellation language in Section 8.K as staffing levels and block hour commitments to American Airlines are constantly changing.

As the industry evolves it is imperative that Envoy evolve as well. So far, the Company has shown no interest in following the rising industry pay standard, although we advocate for increased economics for our pilots regularly. We also continue to advocate for improved quality of life enhancements by means of work rule changes. While some pilots are nearing their flow through class date, numerous pilots will spend many more years at Envoy. Securing quality of life and economic improvements continues to be a top priority.

The Negotiating Committee will continue to meet with the Company in an effort to bring positive change for our pilots. We will continue to seek advancements for the pilots at Envoy, and attempt to solve problems and fix morale for the pilots, which we firmly believe will yield a more productive and efficient pilot group for the Company.

At least the union has been communicating with us recently. That's been one of my biggest complaints.

It’s nice to finally see the change in language from the MEC supporting all pilots (those on the way out and those that are new comers). Even though the company isn’t playing ball at least we are starting to work as a team as opposed to playing different groups off each other.

With all this talk of playing ball....the company owns the field, bat, baseball and gloves.....the union just keeps bringing popcorn. We need an opposing team. Make managing the pilots as difficult as herding cats and we may get someone on base.

7 years on property
still stuck with 2 weeks paid vacation a year.
lost one of my week last year due to upgrade training.
Essentially, by the time my vacation rolls up, this summer, I will have had 1 week off in 2 years.
Absolutely ridiculous.
got a huge trip planned with my family. So many moving parts involved. Years of planning went into it as well as 1000’s of dollars already paid.
If they cancel vacation, this will be a hard pill to swallow. At some point, pilots need to get some off time. I know I do, if for nothing else than for my sanity and for safety.
if that happens, all the big wigs better not be on vacation during the summer and better be flying the line.
sorry... rant over.

While I appreciate the communication from the MEC, this latest email is further proof that the union can’t do anything unless the company brings it to them. Once the company sees fit to give us scraps the union can claim victory. Someone feel free to convince me I’m incorrect.
