if a scope change is directed upon the pilot group the company will have 30yrs of ****ed off work groups who will make them pay.
the only folks wanting scope relief are RJ pilots. What you fail to realize it hampers your career. I never wanted to spend 12 yrs at Xjet

Where exactly do you get that from? From the RJ pilots I’ve spoken to, most are against scope relief. If there is anybody that’s most for scope relief it’s management at mainline.

there are plenty of lifers at all regionals that would be happy to have more flying coming their way - by whatever means and including scope relief.

that is totally incorrect. Bankruptcy is not a do whatever you want card. It reopens the contract for negotiations with results that are acceptable to all parties.

Maybe lifers, but they only make up a fraction of the pilot groups at most regionals. Still, based on what I’ve heard I don’t think most regional pilots support scope relief.

In the case of scope (and other CBA provisions) it is typically going to be something like "industry average", the BK court will not just toss the CBA and let the company do whatever they want. Although management could make a claim that the industry has changed and needs a new baseline.

Someone please explain this. I assumed a WARN notice was actually a furlough letter. The WARN act states that employees must get a certain amount of notice if furloughed.
So how can there be a WARN letter and a furlough letter?

days.
FURLOUGH - Per the CBA the company intends to furlough. You are one of those we intend to furlough.

Except this is the XJT forum. You remember that guy who insisted that there ARE ASA pilots still? He and his buddies are all that’s left after the furloughs.....and they would love scope relief.

You people shouldn’t be worried about scope and all this nonsense, but worried about your second career and finding another job in a different industry for a while. TSA passenger throughput has been lingering around 20% of what it was a year ago. With XJT being one of the most senior regionals with 17 year captains being the average longevity, I don’t see how we are going to survive. The furlough will leave us way more expensive than all the rest. The Mesa’s of the world will survive this with their senior 4 year captains lol. It’s a great opportunity for a grand reshuffling and cost realignment by daddy U.
